Meet Jordan!

Jordan is the Operations Coordinator at DEI Outdoors. They are actively involved in promoting equity and justice in the conservation and outdoors field. Jordan completed their undergraduate degree in Marine Conservation and specialized in conservation education and aquatic animal care. While working at various zoos and aquariums, Jordan observed systemic issues prevalent in the outdoor industry and decided to pivot their career. Jordan pursued an MA in Integrative Conservation, focusing on the intersections between culture, social justice, and community dynamics within conservation. Additionally, their MBA in Nonprofit Management allows them to offer professional guidance and support to nonprofit outdoor organizations. Jordan is committed to using their academic and professional experiences to address critical issues related to justice and accessibility within conservation.
Outside of their professional pursuits, Jordan enjoys hanging out with various creatures like cats, fish, and marine invertebrates and their favorite animal is an Octopus. Jordan has a passion for all marine life and can often be found sharing facts about random marine animals. They also love to scuba dive and wish they could exist entirely underwater.
